The evergreen gardens of the August 7th Memorial Park paid homage to an astounding depth of beauty in the Nairobi Street Fashion event that took place at the vicinity on Saturday 27th July 2013.
The event that received its credible share of hype in the social media, did not disappoint the lots, who came in their numbers to witness the array of clothing's that were being showcased at the event.
The event organization was splendid to say the least.Everything including the weather seemed to fall into place as if the world above the skies were in nods for the event. As the old saying goes....""a fruit does not fall far from a tree?".
It was not long before the models made their way to the runway, with the seemingly aroused crowd treating each display with a resounding applause that really shade life into the event.
The Street Fashion event came in the shade of the Art in the Park event, which aims at supporting emerging talents. This is to enable the youth's to interact in a positive and conducive environment in which they can use to spend their leisure time productively.
Also the initiative aims to bring youths on-board in the fight against violence;and protect them against the vices in the society.
The project has been able to give platform to many youths to showcase their talents which has been a major plus in recruiting young people as ambassadors of change in the society.
The Park hopes that in the near future, they will be able to have the capacity to reach out to more youths outside Nairobi.
This has been a life changing experience to many youths since the commencement of the Art in the Park project back in 2006.The number of art events have since increased rendering the project a real success
,said Mr Macharia the Parks Events Executive.
